Afton Scientific is a contract manufacturing organisation (CMO) in Virginia that specialises in small-batch filling of injectables from clinical trials to approved commercial drugs.
Utilising 35,000 Sq. Ft of manufacturing, lab, warehouse, and administrative space, Afton provides custom, innovative solutions for clinical to commercial sterile manufacturing, packaging and labelling, analytical and micro lab services, and pharmaceutical support services.

Our History
Early 2004
Small-scale, cGMP aseptic liquid filling launched.
Late 2004
Ready-To-Fill (RTF) components launched.
2006
RTF expands worldwide to over a dozen countries.
2009
FDA approval of first commercial sterile drug.
2010-2017
Additional FDA approvals for commercial drugs.
2018
FDA approves first biologic product.
2019
Approved by the PMDA as a sterile injectable manufacturer for Japan.
New customer-dedicated facility launched.
2020
FDA approval of first drug using 3rd facility.
2022
Additional 8K Sq. Ft of production space added.
Fourth facility in planning.
